Character swap

Swap the person in a video while keeping the scene, camera move, timing, and audio. Shoot (or generate) once, recast at will.

  1. Get the source clip — generate one with Video Gen or wire in footage via a Video input node.
  2. Get the character — one full-body image of the new person. Frame it 16:9 so a center crop can’t clip them; clean, front-lit, face clearly visible.
  3. Wire both into Character Swap — clip to video, image to character_image.
  4. Pick the modeReplace keeps the clip’s framing and swaps who’s in it. Move goes the other way: it animates your character with the clip’s motion.
  5. Run. The output keeps the source audio, and billing is by the second of the clip.
  • The character image quality is the ceiling — a sharp, well-lit full-body shot beats a cropped candid every time.
  • Works on generated and real footage alike, so you can previz with a stand-in and recast the final.
  • For voice as well as body, chain the result into the Voice swap recipe.
